Learning curve

Well - I'm discovering my learning curve. So far everything I have sent into the State of Missouri for the business has been sent back to me. First I sent in the paperwork to reserve the name "Allie's Closet" with my check for $25. The check was cashed but the form was rejected - I had to call them to clarify why it was rejected and resubmit the form. That one is done. Secondly, I had to send in papers to establish an "LLC". That form went to the state along with a $105 check. You guessed it - the check was cashed and the form sent back to me. Another phone call - I have corrected the form and faxed it to them. I met this week with a website designer - he quoted me between $10,000 - $20,000 to develop my website. I almost lost my lunch. Although I cannot afford to use him we did have a good discussion and he recommended a site to me where I can build my own website and pay a minimum charge depending on what type of site I need. I'm currently checking that out. Next is to secure a federal and state tax ID and open a business checking account. This sure is an adventure and I am learning alot along the way.
